Lauren Ruess has been a member of DSUA since 2021 and currently works as the Commercial Manager for Industrious Service Group and RWI Manufacturing in Owosso, Michigan. She graduated in 2018 with her BS in Chemical Engineering and in 2019 with her MS in Engineering and Technology Management from Colorado School of Mines. She has been in air pollution control (APC) for her entire career, starting at 17 as a plastic welder for the summer assisting with building plastic wet scrubbers. From there she has held various positions in Environmental, Health, and Safety, Process Engineering, and Technical Sales for glass manufacturing, sorbent supply, and equipment supply all directly focused on APC. In her free time she enjoys CrossFit, learning Italian, and playing with her dog Winston.

Her goal as a board member for DSUA is to continue to learn and share as much knowledge for air pollution control, specifically in the industrial sector in addition to growing DSUA’s digital footprint and outreach on LinkedIn.
